LONDON (ICIS)--European styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) prices have dropped because demand is weak and producers were keen to offload stocks at a lower price, sources said on Wednesday.

February 1500 grade SBR prices are at €1,830-1,950/tonne ($2,473-2,635/tonne) free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE), while 1723 and 1783 are at €1,750-1,850/tonne FD NWE.

One buyer said that it had managed to negotiate a reduction for its contracts even as feedstock butadiene prices rolled over.
