SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Anhui Liuguo Chemical said in a statement on Thursday that it has achieved on-spec material at its new 280,000 tonne/year synthesis ammonia unit in Anhui province since 5 February.
Trial runs were conducted at the new unit since the main part of the ammonia project was completed in end-September last year, according to a statement filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange on 7 February.
As of 5 February, the new synthesis ammonia unit has been producing on-spec liquid ammonia regularly, Anhui Liuguo said.
The company started construction on the project in May 2010, which involved an investment of yuan (CNY) 1.04bn ($167m) that was raised from the stock market, a company source said.
The source declined to disclose the unit’s current operating rates.
