SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s base oil exports rose by 23% to 22,418 tonnes in December from 18,228 tonnes in November, a Thai trader said on Thursday.
The trader, citing Thai Customs data, said the majority of the exports went to Singapore (11,705 tonnes), followed by China (4,103 tonnes). The rest mostly went to Indonesia (2,946 tonnes), Japan (2,360 tonnes) and Vietnam (1,191 tonnes).
The rise in exports in December was largely due to year-end stock replenishing activities, the trader added.
