LONDON (ICIS)--UK white spirit prices have moved up, supported by the recent rise in jet kerosene values upstream, market sources said on Friday.

Prices have climbed 2 pence/litre this week to 64-66 pence/litre FD (free delivered), as producers look to pass on the recent increases of jet kerosene.

At the start of February, jet kerosene barge prices were $1,081.75-1,083.75/tonne FOB (free on board) ARA (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp), but climbed to over $1,100/tonne FOB during the week ending 8 February.

There is no shortage of white spirit in the market and wider economic concerns continue to hamper offtake, which remains flat overall.

Demand has weakened further in reaction to this price increase.

“It is not going down well in the market,” said one distributor.
