SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Nippon Shokubai Indonesia is operating its 60,000 tonne/year crude acrylic acid (AA) plant in Cilegon, West Java, at full capacity, a company source said on Wednesday.

The plant was shut for a short 10-day turnaround in early January and restarted at the end of January, the source said.

Majority of the plant’s output is being channelled to the Japanese domestic market because of a long shutdown at its Himeji facility, the source added.

“Availability for AA and acrylate esters remains limited in Asia,” the source said.
