China's Wuxi Baichuan starts up Nantong glycol ethers plant

MELBOURNE (ICIS) -- China's Wuxi Baichuan Chemical Industrial has started up its new propylene glycol ethers plants at Nantong in Jiangsu province, said a company source on Thursday.

The producer has begun domestic sales after starting up its new 45,000 tonne/year propylene glycol monomethyl ether plant and its new 50,000 tonne/year propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate plant in January, the source said.

Wuxi Baichuan operates a 300,000 tonne/year ethyl acetate (etac)/butyl acetate (butac) swing plant at the same Nantong site.

In addition, Wuxi Baichuan operates a 200,000 tonne/year etac/butac swing plant at Jiangyin, also in Jiangsu province.
