US jet fuel consumption, inventories rise

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Both US jet fuel inventories and consumption rates moved higher for the week ended 22 February, a government agency’s report showed on Wednesday.

Jet fuel consumption was at 1.289m bbl/day, 26,000 bbl/day higher for the week ended 22 February, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Stockpiles increased by 300,000 bbl to 39.8m bbl that same week.

Meanwhile, production rates fell by 47,000 bbl/day, or 3.3%, to 1.396m bbl/day, the EIA said.
