LONDON (ICIS)--The closure of Momentive's 25,000 tonne/year solid epoxy resins (SER) plant in Wesseling, Germany in October 2012 has not had a major impact on supply conditions, sources said this week.

Buyers said that SER prices are stable as the market is still long. According to ICIS, SER prices in February are at €2,490-2,520/tonne ($3,233-3,272/tonne) free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE).

One buyer said it has seen no impact from the closure, while a producer said SER supply is more or less unchanged, but this could change if demand from the construction industry picks up in the second quarter.
