LONDON (ICIS)--BP will hold a seven-week maintenance turnaround at its A4 acetic acid unit in Hull, UK, during the second quarter, a company spokesman said on Thursday.
BP does not disclose the specific dates of planned shutdowns.
The A4 unit is one of two acetic acid units that BP operates at the site and produces only acetic acid; the other is a swing unit that can also produce acetic anhydride.
The A4 unit comprises slightly more than 50% of BP’s acetic acid production at Hull.
BP’s Hull facility has a total nameplate acetic acid capacity of 532,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS.
