TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan’s ethylene production decreased by 9% month on month to 525,500 tonnes in February, a preliminary report from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) showed on Thursday.

February’s ethylene production was unchanged from the same time a year earlier, according to the ministry.

None of the country’s naphtha crackers were shut for scheduled maintenance in February, January, or a year before, the data showed.
