HOUSTON (ICIS)--US Enterprise Products Partners has started operations at its newly expanded liquid petroleum gas (LPG) exporting facility, the company announced on Thursday.

The facility is located on the Houston Ship Channel at a marine terminal complex owned by Oiltanking Partners.

The expansion increased loading capacity at the site by nearly 50% to 7.5m bbl/month.

“There is strong international demand for US propane, and we continue to receive strong indications of interest for long-term commitments from customers that could underwrite another expansion of the export facility,” said AJ “Jim” Teague, chief operating officer of Enterprise Products Partners.
