NOON SNAPSHOT - Asia Markets Summary

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Here is Monday’s midday Asia oil and chemical markets summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: Apr WTI $91.80/bbl, down 15 cent; Apr BRENT $110.51/bbl, down 34 cents/bbl
Crude prices softened on Monday morning and concerns over economic data from China and a stronger US dollar.

NAPHTHA: $958.50-961.50/tonne CFR Japan, down $2.50-3.50/tonne
Open-spec second-half April contract edged down in morning trading, in tandem with crude futures.

BENZENE: $1,317-1,325/tonne FOB Korea, down $8-10/tonne               
The market opened on a soft note, with bids for May loading quoted at $1,290-1,292/tonne FOB Korea and offers at $1,300/tonne FOB Korea. Offers for June parcels were at $1,300/tonne FOB Korea, against bids at $1,280/tonne FOB Korea.

TOLUENE: $1,180-1,195/tonne FOBK Korea, stable         
Bids for May parcels stood at $1,180/tonne FOB Korea amid absence of offers. For second-half April loading, offers were at $1,195-1,200/tonne FOB Korea, but there were no counter bids.

ETHYLENE: $1,330-1,350/tonne CFR NE Asia, stable
Buyers stayed on the sidelines following the recent market slump and no deals were heard done.

PROPYLENE: $1,320-1,350/tonne CFR NE Asia, stable
Buying ideas were capped at the low $1,300s/tonne CFR NE Asia while no offers were heard.
