HOUSTON (ICIS)--Westlake Chemical has begun the restart process at its Lake Charles cracker in Louisiana, a company spokesman said on Tuesday.

The company’s 699,000 tonne/year Petro 2 cracker was shut down in early January for a 45-60 day turnaround.

The spokesman said the cracker should be able to run at full rates in mid-March.
