HOUSTON (ICIS)--US jet fuel consumption rates increased for the week ended 8 March, causing a drop in inventories, a government agency’s report showed on Wednesday.
Jet fuel consumption was at 1.434 m bbl/day, 146,000 bbl/day higher for the week ended 8 March, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Accordingly, stockpiles fell by 1.2m bbl to 38.5m bbl that same week.
Meanwhile, production rates dropped by 33,000 bbl/day, or 2.4%, to 1.370m bbl/day, the EIA said.
