LONDON (ICIS)--Huntsman has acquired a 20% stake in Nippon Aqua, a spray polyurethane (PU) foam insulation company based in Yokohama, Japan, the US-based chemicals producer said on Thursday.

Huntsman has also entered into a 10-year supply agreement with the company, it added.

The US producer supplies various advanced methyl di-p-phenylene isocyanate (MDI)-based PU systems to Nippon Aqua.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Nippon Aqua has business operations in over 30 locations across Japan, and is a subsidiary of residential home builder Hinokiya Holdings, Huntsman said.
