Correction: In the ICIS story headlined "US March styrene contracts settled at rollover" dated 15 March 2013, please read the headline as "US February styrene contracts…" instead of …"US March styrene contracts …"

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US February styrene contracts were confirmed to have settled at a rollover on Friday, following the stable to weaker feedstock benzene market in February, according to trade sources.

The settlement, which remained at 81.75-85.75 cents/lb ($1,802-1,890/tonne, €1,388-1,456/tonne), was an average move from suppliers and consumers, as some saw no change and other participants saw only slight declines or increases from the previous month.

The flat settlement was also in line with initial contracts that rolled over from a week earlier.

Only one supplier issued a price increase, of 2 cents/lb, for February contracts. Most trade participants had been expecting February styrene contracts to settle flat to slightly down based on the flat February feedstock ethylene contract and the lower February benzene contract settlement.

Producers have not issued any price increases for March contracts, but one supplier said it expects March prices to roll over again.
