SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Denka Singapore is planning to shut its 200,000 tonne/year polystyrene (PS) plant at Jurong Island on 10 April for maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.
The facility is expected to be shut for about six weeks, the source said.
The company will continue to meet contract obligations via resin stockpile prepared earlier, according to the source.
The plant produces general purpose PS (GPPS) resins which is used in packaging, utensils, toys and consumer items.
The other PS producer in Singapore is Total Petrochemicals.
