SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korean aromatics producer S-Oil is on schedule to shut one of its two Onsan-based aromatics facilities in mid-April for around one month of scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Friday.

The facility is the newer of the two that includes a reformer, toluene disproportionation unit and a paraxylene (PX) unit, the source said.

The aromatics facility can produce about 300,000 tonnes/year of benzene, and its PX unit has a nameplate capacity of 1m tonnes/year, the source added.

S-Oil is currently operating the PX unit at full capacity, the source added.
