SAN ANTONIO, Texas (ICIS)--Planned maintenance on DuPont’s vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) plant in Texas will be completed this week, a source close to the plant said on the sidelines of the International Petrochemical Conference (IPC) on Monday.

Maintainance on the 335,000 tonne/year plant in LaPorte began earlier this month.

Most sources confirmed the FOB (free on board) export range assessed by ICIS at $1,000-1,100/tonne (€770-847/tonne).

Other major US VAM producers include Dow Chemical, Celanese and LyondellBasell.

Hosted by the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM), the IPC continues through Tuesday
