LONDON (ICIS)--Production at SABIC’s butadiene (BD) extraction unit in Wilton, the UK, is on-spec following a successful start up, a company source said on Monday.
“We started up successfully [over the weekend] and we are on-spec,” the company source said.
The unit, which has the capacity to produce 100,000 tonnes/year of BD, was shut down on 1 March because of a fouling issue.
SABIC recently postponed its planned March-April turnaround at its Geleen, Netherlands site until 2014.
