Taiwan’s FPC runs acrylic acid, acrylate esters plants at 100%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) is operating its acrylic acid (AA) and acrylate esters plants in Mailiao at full capacity, a company source said on Wednesday.

The facility was shut on 3 March for annual maintenance and was restarted on 17 March, the source added.

FPC can produce 80,000 tonnes/year of butyl acrylate (butyl-A), 90,000-110,000 tonnes/year of crude AA, 60,000 tonnes/year of glacial AA and 40,000 tonnes/year of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (2EH-A) at its Mailiao site.
