SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea's Samsung Total will continue to operate its 1m tonne/year cracker in Daesan at full tilt in April, unchanged from previous month’s run rates, a company source said on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Samsung Total has no plans to buy spot naphtha supply because of its term naphtha deliveries, the source added.
Samsung earlier bought a 25,000 tonne cargo of heavy full-range naphtha for delivery to Daesan in the second half of April. The deal for the cargo was done at a premium of around $33/tonne (€26/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR (cost & freight).
