SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Hebi Coal Group shuts its 50,000 tonne/year butanediol (BDO) unit at Hebi city in central Henan province for one week of maintenance in line with a shutdown at its upstream methanol unit, a company source said on Wednesday.
The company has to shut the BDO unit on 3 April as there is not enough feedstock, the source said.
Some market players think the BDO shutdown has little impact on market, as domestic demand is poor and supply is relatively sufficient.
Hebi Coal Group is a subsidiary of Henan Coal Chemical Group.
