China’s capro imports fall 9.7% in February

BRISBANE (ICIS)--China’s caprolactam (capro) imports in February decreased by 9.7% from January, as it was a short working month because of the Lunar New Year holiday, market players said on Wednesday.

The country imported 35,843 tonnes of capro in February, 3,836 tonnes lower month on month, according to China Customs data.

Capro import prices in February averaged at $2,377/tonne (€1,854/tonne), representing a 3.4% increase from the previous month, the data showed.
