SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shaanxi Huanghe Mining Group expects to achieve on-spec liquefied natural gas (LNG) in late April at its 250,000 tonne/day liquefaction plant at Weinan in Shaanxi province, a company source said on Wednesday.
The plant will largely process coal gas supplied by the company’s 5m tonne/year coke plant located in the same city, the source added.
The company has signed an agreement with Sinopec Shaanxi New Energy to sell and deliver its LNG output, the source said.
While the producer’s LNG output will be distributed nationwide in China, the schedule for delivering the commercial supply has not been determined, the source added.
Shaanxi Huanghe Mining Group is a privately owned company that is focused on coal-based business.
