SEOUL (ICIS)--South Korea-based Samsung Total plans to shut its aromatics facility in Daesan in June for around two-weeks for a scheduled turnaround, market sources said on Monday.
“The plant will restart in July,” one of the sources said.
The aromatics unit, which has a nameplate capacity of 470,000 tonnes/year of benzene and 650,000 tonnes/year of paraxylene (PX), is currently running at close to 100%.
“This the plan, but depends on the plant, changes [to the schedule] maybe made,” another source said.
