HOUSTON (ICIS)--Sources said on Tuesday that US Chevron Phillips Chemical started a planned turnaround on its Port Arthur cracker in Texas on 8 April.

The sources said that the turnaround is scheduled to last 60 days at the facility, which has an ethylene capacity of 803,000 tonnes/year.

A company spokesperson declined to comment, citing company policy.

According to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), the company has also shut down its Sweeny 22 cracker in Texas because of a shutdown in a propylene compressor.
