SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Lanzhou Petrochemical, a subsidiary of state-owned oil giant PetroChina, shut its 200,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant in Gansu province on Wednesday because of a technical issue, a company source said.
The company plans to resume production at the plant in the week of 17 April, the source said.
Local distributors said that the shutdown will have a limited impact on the LDPE market because of its expected short shutdown duration.
