HOUSTON (ICIS)--Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) domestic prices in Colombia for April are assessed at $1,310/tonne (€1,008/tonne) DEL (delivered) for pipe grade and $1,330/tonne DEL for general purpose (GP), down by $50/tonne from March on softening demand, sources said on Thursday.
In March, domestic PVC prices rose from February by $70/tonne in Colombia.
Export prices from Colombia rolled over from March at $1,210/tonne CFR (cost and freight) South America except Brazil.
In other Latin American countries, PVC prices rolled over in April from March in Argentina and Brazil, while regional sources along the Pacific coast of South America noted a price uptick this week for resin offers from the US.
PVC producers in Latin America are Mexichem, Braskem and Solvay.
