HOUSTON (ICIS)--Here is Tuesday’s end of day Americas oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: Jun WTI: $89.18/bbl, down 1 cent; Jun Brent: $100.31/bbl, down 8 cents
NYMEX WTI crude futures posted light losses in response to disappointing German and Chinese manufacturing data, which could affect energy demand. A rally in the stock market put a floor on the decline and triggered a recovery.

RBOB: May: $2.7190/gal, down 5.04 cents/gal
Reformulated blendstock for oxygen blending (RBOB) gasoline futures prices continued to fall from the morning session, settling lower as expectations for this week’s US Energy Information Administration (EIA) gasoline inventory report are to show a build of 250,000-500,000 bbl.

NATURAL GAS: May: $4.238/MMBtu, down 2.9 cents
The front month on the NYMEX natural gas market settled down for a second consecutive day, sliding through the afternoon session following a morning rally which saw it recover a third of the losses incurred on Monday, as warmer weather forecasts continue to weaken expectations for prompt demand.

ETHANE: stable at 29.00 cents/gal
Ethane spot prices were stable in a quiet market, even as natural gas futures were weaker.

AROMATICS: toluene at wider at $3.83-3.90/gal, mixed xylenes tighter at $3.90-4.00/gal
Prompt n-grade toluene spot prices were discussed within a wider range during the day, as bids moved lower. The afternoon range was further apart from $3.85-3.90/gal FOB (free on board) the previous session. Prompt mixed xylenes (MX) spot prices moved within a more narrow range, as offers came down. The MX range was tighter from $3.90-4.10/gal FOB the previous session.

OLEFINS: ethylene bid higher at 56 cents/lb, PGP wider at 55.0-59.5 cents/lb
April ethylene bid levels increased to 56 cents/lb from 55 cents/lb the previous day, while offers were steady at 62 cents/lb. US April polymer-grade propylene (PGP) bid/offer levels widened to 55.00-59.50 cents/lb, compared with deals done the previous day at 57.50-57.75 cents/lb.
