SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s KPX Green Chemical has increased the operating rate of its of 25,000 tonne/year ethanolamine unit in Daesan to 85-90% capacity on the back of improved domestic demand, a company source said on Wednesday.
The plant was operating at around 80% capacity in the previous week, the source added.
Domestic sales have improved, because import material into South Korea are no longer as competitively priced as local product because of the depreciating won, the source said.
