SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Henan Lianchuang Chemical plans to restart its 300,000 tonne/year caustic soda plant in Henan on 25 April, a company source said on Wednesday.
The maintenance shutdown started on 23 April and will last for three days, the source added.
The company offered 32% liquid membrane caustic soda at yuan (CNY)2,050-2,100/tonne ($332-340/tonne) on 24 April, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
Maintenance shutdowns at several units in Henan lent support to the local prices of caustic soda, keeping them stable, according to the source.
