SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhejiang Shuyang Chemical Co has postponed the start-up of its new 80,000 tonne/year adipic acid (ADA) plant at Quzhou in Zhejiang province to late May from April, a company source said on Wednesday.

“The start-up date has been delayed, because we are still adjusting the production technology at the plant.” the source added.

The ADA plant was originally scheduled to come on stream in April.

Domestic major ADA producers in China include Shandong Haili Chemical, Liaoyang Petrochemical and Shandong Hongye Chemical Group Co.
