SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Dalian West Pacific Petrochemical Co (WEPEC) is planning to shut its 200,000 bbl/day refinery at Dalian in Liaoning province on 13 June for one-month maintenance, a company source said on Friday.
The maintenance shutdown is planned partly in expectation of weak demand of oil products, according to the source.
WEPEC plans to export two naphtha cargoes in May, down from three cargoes each in March and April.
The company is an export-oriented joint venture of Sinochem, PetroChina, France's Total and other Chinese firms.
