SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Saudi Kayan restarted its ethylene glycol (EG) and ethylene oxide (EO) facility in Al Jubail after completing maintenance on 24 April, the Saudi Arabian producer said in a statement to the Saudi stock exchange over the weekend of 27-28 April.
According to its website, the company can produce 566,000 tonnes/year of monoethylene glycol (MEG) and 550,000 tonnes/year of EO.
“The company is currently working on gradually increasing production till the regular plant production capacity is reached. It is worth mentioning that remaining production plants are now under preparation for start-up in the coming days,” the producer said.
The company is an affiliate of Saudi Arabian petrochemical giant SABIC.
