SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Befar Group will shut one of its two propylene oxide (PO) units next week for a short maintenance, sources close to the company said on Friday.
The older 115,000 tonne/year PO unit at Binzhou city will be taken offline from 14 May for five to six days, the sources added. Company officials were not available for comment.
At the same site, the company has another newer but smaller 80,000 tonne/year unit, which will be operating.
Befar Group is the one of the largest domestic providers of PO in China, catering largely to end-users in the northern and eastern parts of the country.
