TAIPEI (ICIS)--South Korea’s domestic demand for low density polyethylene (LDPE) and high density PE (HDPE) is expected to grow this year by 1.6% and 3.8%, respectively, the country’s association said in its annual report.
South Korea was expected to consume 1.135m tonnes/year of LDPE and 2.236m tonnes of HDPE this year, the Korea Petrochemical Industry Association (KPIA) said.
The country’s LDPE export was expected to increase by 3.8% to 1.094m tonnes this year, KPIA said.
The report was presented at the annual Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference (APIC 2013), which was held in Taipei on 9-10 May.
