HOUSTON (ICIS)--The Phosphate Chemicals Export Association (PhosChem) announced on Tuesday it has reached an agreement to sell 400,000 tonnes of diammonium phosphate (DAP) to India for shipment between now and September 2013.
PhosChem said the transactions involved two large, unnamed Indian buyers. The deals were concluded at current market rates, but PhosChem declined to offer any additional financial information or loading details.
PhosChem is the export marketing association for North American phosphate producers Mosaic and PotashCorp. It is considered the largest exporter of phosphate from North America.
Neither Mosaic nor PotashCorp would comment further.
