Japan Q1 economy grows 3.5% on year; up 0.9% on quarter

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s economy posted annual growth of 3.5% in the first three months of 2013, registering a quarter-on-quarter growth of 0.9%, official data showed on Thursday.

The world’s third biggest economy moved out of technical recession in the fourth quarter of last year.

Japan posted an average GDP growth of 2.0%  in 2012.
