HOUSTON (ICIS)--Both Metor methanol plants in Venezuela are running at 100% capacity after scheduled maintenance work, a source close to the units said on Thursday.

The work began in April on both units and was done consecutively, the source said. The maintenance schedule on both units was said to take 30-60 days.

Metor’s two plants in Jose have capacities of 750,000 tonnes/year and 850,000 tonnes/year.

US methanol spot barge prices on Thursday slipped to 140-141 cents/gal, sources said. The spot range ended last week at 141-143 cents/gal.
