LONDON (ICIS)--Artenius is running its larger of the two polyethylene terephthalate (PET) lines in El Prat de Llobregat, Spain, following a short maintenance shutdown, a company source said on Thursday.
"It is now running flat out since last weekend. El Prat is at maximum capacity compared to the last 18 months, it's at 95% or more," the source said.
Nameplate capacity at the site is confirmed at 170,000 tonne/year.
The 140,000 tonne/year unit in Adana in Turkey "is running quite well," the source added.
Meanwhile, Artenius' 80,000 tonne/year PET plant in Volos, Greece remains shut down.
Artenius also has a 200,000 tonne/year San Giorgio di Nogaro plant in Italy that is focused on technical polymer production.
