SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Chongqing Jianfeng Chemical Co Ltd said on Friday it plans to acquire a subproject to its fertilizer plants from parent Chongqing Jianfeng Industrial Group at yuan (CNY) 158m ($26m).
Construction of the subproject, which includes a fertilizer jetty with two berths that can accommodate 500 deadweight-tonne ships, was completed in April this year, the company said in a filing to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
The jetty has a nameplate capacity of 1.39m tonnes/year, it said.
The subproject further includes a packaging, building and haulage gantry, Chonqing Jianfeng said.
These structures will support the company’s 450,000 tonne/year ammonia unit and its 800,000 tonne/year urea unit at the Fuling district of Chongqing. The company bought over the two plants from its parent firm in 2008.
