Flotek’s plants not damaged in Oklahoma City tornado

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Flotek Industries’ plants in Oklahoma were not damaged during a deadly tornado that ravaged parts of Oklahoma City on Monday afternoon, the US-based producer and distributor of specialty chemicals and oilfield drilling products said in an update on Tuesday.

Flotek said that its three facilities in the Oklahoma City area – Moore, Marlow and Chickasha - escaped the storm and that all employees were safe.

Meanwhile, the company pledged funds towards relief efforts, it said.

The tornado in the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore killed at least 51 people, according to US news reports on Tuesday morning.
