SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s S-Oil is running its No 2 aromatics plant in Onsan at 100% capacity, following a month-long scheduled turnaround, a company source said on Thursday.
The No 2 aromatics facility, which includes a reformer, toluene disproportionation (TDP) unit and a paraxylene (PX) plant, can produce 300,000 tonnes/year of benzene and 1m tonnes/year of PX, was restarted on 21 May, the source said.
At the same site, the No 1 aromatics facility that can produce 300,000 tonnes/year of benzene and 700,000 tonnes/year of PX, is running at full rate as well, according to ICIS plants and projects.
