SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Saudi Polyolefins will shut down its 720,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant in Al-Jubail in June, a source close to the company said on Wednesday.
The scheduled shutdown is expected to take place on 5-20 June.
The company can tap into its existing stockpile to continue meeting its customers’ supply requirements, the source said.
Saudi Polyolefins is a joint venture between the National Industrialisation Co (Tasnee) of Saudi Arabia, and LyondellBasell.
