European styrene spot numbers have started to edge up, sources said on Tuesday, following continued technical problems at Shell’s styrene monomer plant at Moerdijk in the Netherlands.

Borouge 3 poses polyolefin pricing threat to CEE producers
Olefin and polyolefin producers in central and eastern Europe (CEE) should prepare for pressure on prices stemming from the anticipated 2014 start-up of the 2.5m tonne/year Borouge 3 installations in Abu Dhabi, a bank said on Monday.
