HOUSTON (ICIS)--US exports of acrylonitrile (ACN) fell by 53% in April to 25,310 tonnes from 53,344 tonnes a year ago, according to data released Thursday by the US International Trade Commission.
April exports also fell when compared with March, when they were 49,739 tonnes, the ITC said.
In April, 6,890 tonnes of ACN were exported to Korea, while 4,322 tonnes went to Mexico and 4,000 tonnes to Taiwan.
Major producers of US ACN include Ascend Performance Materials, Cornerstone Energy, and INEOS.
