LONDON (ICIS)--Polish producer ZAK is planning a turnaround at its dioctyl phthalate (DOP) plasticizers unit from 23 June until 10 July, a company source said on Wednesday.
The unit, at Kedzierzyn-Kozle, has a capacity of 60,000 tonnes/year. ZAK also produces the oxo-alcohols n-butanol (NBA), isobutanol (IBA) and 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH) at the site.
The company will hold its DOP turnaround at the same time as the planned turnaround at its oxo-alcohols unit, which has a combined capacity of 205,000 tonnes/year.
The two outages were not originally planned to coincide, but the company decided to hold the turnaround at its DOP unit at the same time owing to bearish sentiment in the plasticizers market.
