SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Meile fertilizer Chemical plans to shut its 200,000 tonne/year nitrogen phosphorus potassium (NPK) unit in Jiangsu province, east China on 25 June for maintenance, a company source said on Monday.
The company will shut the plant mainly because of low downstream demand and the shutdown will last for 20 days, the source said.
“The shutdown of the NPK plant is unlikely to have a significant impact on spot prices,” the source added.
