SINGAPORE (ICIS)--The EU imported 6% less emulsion styrene butadiene rubber (E-SBR) from the rest of the world in March 2013 than in March 2012, Eurostat data showed on Tuesday.

However, imports went up 24% in March compared with February 2013.

Exports also increased, up by 53% in March 2013 compared with March 2012 and by 5% against February 2013.

Demand for E-SBR continued to be weak in March, so European sellers sought to offload stocks in overseas markets. At the same time, attractive price offers from Russian sellers made some European buyers switch to Russian-origin material, increasing imports in March against February.
